Well I had two very pristine (probably never issued, and turned on a few times) BC-348-Q's with dynamotors, shock mounts and connectors for sale at MRCG 2010. I was asking $400 each and no takers. I took them home. They are no longer for sale and will not be untill my will is made public after my passing. They will then be sold at that time to pay for my burial.

Subject: [Milsurplus] R1155 vs. BC-348 receivers
Is, or were the R-1155 receivers equal in United Kingdom to what the BC-348 is
r was to the post war Ham and SWL community in the US? Today the BC-348
eceivers appear to be worth more than they ever were in the past possibly due
o the small numbers of them around in comparison to what was available in the
ate forties up thru the seventies and knowing from first hand experience that
hey had little or no value in the seventies and eighties so at that time had no
ssues modifying or converting them and can see where at one time they were a
heap way to get a receiver and get on the air. Now unmodified examples are
ncommon and appear to be what everyone wants to have so they command a high
rice. I never used one in military service and have little desire to have an
ll original version and am much happier with the modified “Ham” version maybe
ecause that’s what I used back in the seventies when I was still in school. So
y question is the R-1155 treated the same way over there? And were there many
C-348 receivers about? I did own a R-1155 that I bought about ten years back,
hen I bought it was already missing most the tubes, all the DF components and a
ot of other bits. Did install an AC power supply and new audio output stage and
t was a fun little receiver. Particularly liked the different color bands and
he reduction tuning, but do remember that I ended up changing every fixed
apacitor in the radio. Think every capacitor in a can was leaky or shorted.
