That's what had me stumped. It could almost seem reasonable to have the
power supply itself elevated for servicing purposes, assuming the
transmitter was mounted remotely. I'd just hate to be one of the guys
trying to get that beast more than a couple inches off the deck. In the
interest of weight savings and financial benefit, they'd switch from iron
to aluminum by the time I was pressed.
And Mike - I think the mystery about shock absorbing on the TCZ/ATC type
slides is solved. The manual mentions those little rubber blocks inside the
slides as offering some shock absorbing protection. I did chuckle when I
read that. 'Some' being the key word here. Maybe some protection against
vibration, but a stout jolt? I'm not seeing it.
