The 51H-3 is nothing like that or a 51J, and it has no SSB detector.

The 51H-3, as I posted recently, was the commercial model number for
the R-105/ARR-15, covering 1.5 to 18.5 MHz in ten channels set up in
the auto-tune, or with continuous tuning if desired.

It is the companion to the 17H-2 transmitter (T-47/ART-13), covering
2 to 18.1 MHz in ten channels as set up in the auto-tune, or with
continuous tuning if desired.

Unfortunately, the receiver does not cover the LF/MF beacon band, so
it could not match the transmitter's capability for that when its
optional LF/MF oscillator was installed.

However, the R-105 does do a pretty good job with SSB for something
not designed for the job. A R-105 with a Elmac AF-67 was my college
dorm station for checking to the local Navy MARS net on 6970 kHz,
40 years ago.
