I have had some success with mixing up my own from standard Rust Oleum
brand colors. Other brands of similar paint may work as well. For a
start, I slowly added rusty metal primer to Forest Green for the basic
hue, orange a few drops at a time for truer hue, and then slowly added
flat black to darken it down. It can be made fairly close and pleasing,
but side by side with an original you can still tell a difference. When
I was in the service, paints with the same stock number were often very
different, so "home brew" paints may be closer to the original than
you might expect.
