True...hence the two LF channels shown on the channel selector.  But that's
very interesting.  The R-277/APN-70 should have appeared about the same time
as the RT-128A/ARC-21 and R-224/ARR-36...in the early 1950s.

Yet the LORAN C system, under development since 1952, was not fully operational
until August 1958.  The designers must have been looking well ahead.
