They are around, I have owned both and still have a DAV that I use at Dayton for the 3885 net. Great radios to play around with , way better then the BC-611 sets. Also the bay in the case is just the right size to stick in a stack of nine volt cells and a D cell for the filament. The molded plywood case is also interesting. Several people at Gilbert have them so maybe try the MRCA reflector too.

Subject: [Milsurplus] WTB: Navy MAB or DAV radio
Hi:
I think these are rare birds, but I am looking to buy an MAB or DAV radio in working or near working condition. I am seriously (as in not just
shopping) looking to add one or both of these to my collection of portable navy radios. I will pay a fair price by USPS money order, Paypal or cash if you are close (your choice).
Please reply off list and let me know what you have. Pictures are a plus.
Slightly modified is ok. Shipping would be to 55102.
Sorry, but I cannot respond to "make offer"... you need to let me know what it's worth.
Thank you... Hope to hear from folks with one to sell....
