Mack - sent me a pic of the rust on a BC348Q chassis; That for me is a 
first, since all the ones I have seen and there have been many I have 
never seen one with steel plate being used!  This in deed a first. IF - 
Audio section and looks like the bottom of the power supply also.   I 
assume that a magnet can stick to the chassis?
Otherwise I would suspect that this is Oxidized MFP varnish.  Could Post 
this Picture to the yahoo BC348 group ?
