You have mentioned Andrews Air Force Base . .  . that brings back good memories. After 8 months of tech. school

in Billoxi ( I hope I spelled that correctly) I   transfered to Andrews AFB. (1967) We had been trained on the TRC-24

which if I remember correctly it covered 50 MHZ to 950 MHZ.
The 12 channel voice multiplexer (full duplex) FRC-7 and a 4 channel RTTY multiplexer, FRC-4.

We had these in Turkey. I never got to work on them except at school. We did run some Collins microwave

transceivers, a specially designed multiplexer and Collins 618T-3 HF single sideband transceivers.

Of course we did have some KWM2-A transceivers.

I left the  air force and obtained an MS electrical engineering. I majored in communication theory.

Never got to work in the communication field again.  It is sad.
