[Milsurplus] Name This Bomber

Without seeing a picture, these are just guesses....

John, could you scan it and email the picture directly?

But first, are we even talking about an American built
aircraft?

1. B-24N.  The N model was a single tailed version of the
B-24.  This was not a PB4Y-2, but had
a shorter vertical stabilizer and other differences.
Only a few were built, quantity production was interrupted
by the war's end. It did have a nose ball turret.

2.  B-32. Also too late for quantity production, but
a few actually saw combat service very late in the war.

Both of the above, though, most likely would *not* have
had the MN series loop John described, but probably the
LP-21 style "football".

Also not sure if the above had 6 turrets.

Also, John's question about the "logo" which I assume
means the national insignia, has me wondering if we are
talking post war, or post 1948.  Could he be referring
to the horizontal red stripe added to the white bar after
1948?

Would really like to see a picture, got me curious as well.
