The sense antenna was also used for a very important function and that
was initial identification
of the station, in loop or automatic function the signal is at a null
and it can be very difficult to
ID the station.

Yes. But that is only because it has both a sense and a loop antenna.
That's why I'm looking for the prints to see how it was done.
I'm certain the RA-10 uses either the sense (omnidirectional) OR the
loop... not both at the same time.
I think the MN-26, ARN-6, ARN-7, and R.1155 combine the sense and loop
antenna signals to eliminate the 180 degree ambiguity of just a loop.
