Mike,
There are plenty of RA-10s around that do not have the loop relay
"penthouse" on the receiver front panel. Furthermore, I've seen
instructions for adding the loop relay in the field. It's a simple job.
I'm not so sure the loop stuff was an integral part of all installations.
