Mike, as a youngster, how did you ever figure out how to connect up the RU 
receiver
( U.S. Navy aircraft TRF receiver ), and then how did you power it up? I 
still find the
control box connections confusing, and to operate it right, I think it needs 
something
like -70 volts bias for the AGC to work right.

i wnt there many times. my mother bought me a BC312 there, to replace the
RU18 i was using as a receiver. i guess there is where i got my affinity
for ARC5 stuff...................

the univ store had lots and lots of BIG tubes (813/250h type)
cant remember buying much thre though - had to get there on the bus

i could get to the WS store on my bike
