On Tuesday 10 July 2012, the maximum final value fee for private 
sellers will increase from £40 to £75. This new final value fee cap 
will only impact listings with a sale price above £400.
This change applies to private sellers and will only affect items which 
are listed from 10 July 2012 onwards.

Talk about stating the bleeding obvious.

Of course it only applies over £400 sales. At £400 sale price you still 
pay £40 fee, but now, if sold for £600 instead of the £40 fee its now 
£60.

They make it sound like they are doing you a favour

Given their final price fee, listing fee, which if many pics used is 
high, plus their Paypal (Ebay owned) fee its getting to the point where 
its no longer a viable thing to flog junk on that site.

SpecialistAuctions is still only 3% fee. I don't know why more use of 
that site is not made.
