You must not get on the air much, Richard? There's a ton of AM/'fone
activity around. Activity has steadily increased since the 70s, a lot in
just the last ten-fifteen years. You can hear everything from old
commercial 'boatanchor' gear to converted broadcast transmitters, home brew
Class D and E transmitters, and the popular Flex SDR rigs along with new
Yaecomwood plastic radios which all include AM.
Also a good number of folks running everything from ARC-5s to ART-13s.
Numerous marine rigs too.
It's good stuff!
