So long as you are only using it for grid bias, you can turn a 9V battery
into a 6V one by opening up the bottom, turning one of the cells over, and
re-sealing it. Or you can make a 7.5V by replacing any cell with a length of
brass rod. You'll need to insulate the rod with shrink tubing.
