Subject: [Milsurplus] GRC-14 Production total

I recently acquired the xmtr and pwr supply for the GRC 14. I received
them in their original packing crates. The markings on the crates indicate
they had originally shipped from the manufacturer Federal Telephone and
Radio in Clifton NJ . Stenciled also on the one crate was the following:

"PKG 41 OF 400" and separately " SET - 41" "PKG 1 OF 8"

The manual for the GRC 14 indicates there are 9 packages that make up a
set. One of the packages contains the "Installation Kit , Generator" This
is for the 100 amp 24vdc generator install in the M38A1 jeep. That package
must have come from another manufacture/contractor and not shipped from the
plant in NJ.

I'm guessing by from what's stenciled on the crate that 400 of the GRC 14
sets were produced. The PP-1711 power supply that I have is s/n 347. That is
the highest s/n that I have in my GRC-14 assemblage.

Anyway , just put this out there to see if there are any higher s/n's out
there from GRC 14 set owners. The R-808 receiver was part of the GRC-14
set..
