What we must be always aware of is that engineering competence
in this USA is at an all-time level. Schools teach hand-held things
for the students. Who approved the procurement of the failed radios?
Who knows? Who cares? Who is Obama? But everyone knows all
the TV program schedules, and who the heroes are.
Up here in Pennsylvania the County Police and local Fire Departments
had the same problem with their new radios. One size was supposed
to fit all, it didn't.
