I have one of the old Zenith 7H820 radios with the pre-1945 42 to 50 MHz
FM broadcast band, as seen at http://www.wa2ise.com/radios/fm45.html .
Some radio dials in this old FM band were marked 21 through 99. Those are
channel numbers obtained from the last two significant digits of broadcast
channel frequency from 42.1 through 49.9 MHz.
So WA2XMN would come in on channel 28.
For an advantageous condition of solar activity there's a good chance that
such a station might be heard at a very long distance.
It would be good to hear of such transmission schedules on this list.
