[Milsurplus] TS-352

I have a TS-352 mulitmeter I would like to use, but I don't want to pay for 
3 of the flat 4.5 volt
batts. What should I use as a sub, 3 AA's + a 9 volt ? I thought briefly of 
2x 9 volt batts with
zener and maybe other diodes in series to drop the overvoltage, but that 
drop is not altl that
constant with current, at least not in the standard power diodes. What do 
you think?
