I've worked with a lot of Plexi-glass in my working and hobby
careers of over 40 years, one thing I would advise against is drilling
it with standard twist drills, if you do buy about 3 times as much as you
need to start with as you will break it, for sure. The bits will
grab and bust the plastic.
Go to Harbor Freight and buy a $9.99 set of Uni-Bits, or as some
call them step drills, these will not break the plastic.
A good sharp set of hole saws will do the trick for the meter holes.
Most larger cities have a business that sells plexi-glass sheet,
just search the yellow pages or Google, I've never seen anything of
the thickness you need at any of the home centers I shop at.
