My Question:  About how much did, or does, these
weights weigh?  They were tear drop shaped, and
about eight inches long, (I think).

I could not find the exact weight in any of my manuals  but 14 pounds 
seems to come to mind  the fish weight used to be a  "aircraft 
systems"  triva question.
I do know that when extra "fish" were carried in the Navigators bag , 
no one on the crew want
to lift  my bag during "baggage drills".
