[Milsurplus] Pi- Matching Network: When?

Dave, some transmitters which used a low Z link in the
PA section would exit the transmitter case to a Pi network
in a separate box. Pi's usually have a lot of dangerous
RF in them.
A final idea, have a look at some of the early Police Radios.
They used frequencies just above the broadcast band, and
usually a center-loaded whip on the car bumper. I have such
a whip here in PA if you want to come get it.
