It's a MP 48A antenna mast base. Normally used on vehicles. Doubt seriously it was used on a PT boat or any Naval vessel for that fact ...but then never say never

P.S Sometime ago this subject on what antenna mount was used on the PT boats came up and if my failing memory serves me a pic of one was sent. Hopefully the person who sent it is still with us.

Hello,
I'm restoring a PT boat from WWII and request assistance regarding a
whip antenna.

I have a picture of the whip antenna base from PT-659 that we
cannibalized for the PT-305 which is an earlier model.

Premex is the only antenna maker I know of and just looked at the base
we have from the 659 (IMG_0615) and it has identifying marks; the
copyright symbol followed by "LAPP". So I think there was a company
known as LAPP Engineering & Co. The Higgins boat builder drawing have
no reference to either.

Do you know which whip antenna we should be looking for?

I also am seeking a SO radar set and IFF for this project. Do you
have any suggestions on where I may look?

Any information is appreciated.
