I have received a number of emails asking if Capt. Bill Orr
was "our" Bill Orr, the radio author/editor?

The answer is no, they are two separate people:

Captain William D. Orr - B-29 Airplane Commander (? - September 1979).

William I. "Bill" Orr (W6SAI) (1919-2001).
Author of the "Radio Handbook", and many other books, and
magazine articles, on amateur radio.
