[Milsurplus] Gibson Girl Kite

We went round and round on these radios on one of the groups some years 
ago.  One person maintained that there was no recorded instance of 
anybody being rescued by using a Gibson Girl.  I don't remember anyone 
refuting this.  Seems odd considering the number deployed.  Does anyone 
have any info?
