Many years ago I bought a hydrogen generator and balloon to raise an
antenna, with poor results.  I had a garbage cam full of water for the
hydrogen generator, which worked well, but the balloon was another
story. Due to old age the balloon was full of holes, and was packed with
talc so the folds wouldn't fuse together.  I tried to seal the holes
with electrical tape, but the talc defeated adhesion, and  the balloon
never got far off the ground.  The moral to the story is never trust old
rubber goods.
