[Milsurplus] Radio in Movie

Just watched the movie "The Steel Lady", from the early 50s.

Story of an oil crew whose plane is forced down in the Sahara,
only they find a German tank and get it running. And their subsequent
adventures getting back to civilization.

There are a couple of shots of the supposed aircraft radio. It looks
like a portable transmitter/receiver unit, about 15 to 18 inches
on a side, speaker in upper left, and nameplate in upper right. But, the
resolution just isn't there to make out the nameplate or labeling.
From the looks of the nameplate, I'm going to make a guess that it
is Navy, either late war or postwar.

Anybody see this movie and know what radio this is? I have made a
screen capture and could email it if someone wants to take a guess.

PS, way off topic question about a technical accuracy question. The
crew uses the aircraft's gas to fill the tank's fuel tank. But weren't
German tanks Diesel?
