[Milsurplus] Arc Lamps for projector sets

When I was in elementary school, my parents had the concession stand at a drive-in movie. The projection booth was at one end. For the DC voltage for the arc lamp in the projector, there was a bank of 8008 mercury vapor rectifiers housed in a cabinet with a perforated cover.
The projectionist owned a TV service shop and usually worked on televisions for most of the 20-minute time frame between having to change the film reel. Sometimes, when he didn't have anything to work on, he would come out and help me fold the boxes in which popcorn was put for sale. Having to fold hundreds of popcorn boxes every evening was a real pain in the posterior!

Mercury vapor rectifiers or, more likely, Tungar bulbs likely.
Ignitrons are very unlikely as they and Thyratrons are phase controlled
rectifiers.
