[Milsurplus] 400 Hz Static Inverter

Well, I know that they can handle large load variations. I guess the problem
is how quickly the load changes.

Now, an asynchronous motors look like a transformer (load wise); at start,
they look like a transformer with a shorted secondary, and max "unloaded"
speed (synchronous speed), they look like a transformer with no load.
Therefore, the PF of the load can easily go from one extreme to the other.

These converters are designed to work with "lathes" and similar industrial
equipment; these, by nature, provide sudden load variation, during their
operation. I am hopeful that it may work with some of my radio stuff.

I looked into these controllers. They all have big warnings about switching
the load. So you could transmit about once every 10 minutes maybe. Rats!
