From 1964 to 1965 I was stationed at a Radar Bomb Scoring site at
Wilder City Idaho. We not only scored the bombing accuracy but trained
the ECM operators by putting up radars for them to jam and scored them
on that.
We had radars for all the frequency ranges used by the NVA and
panadaptors to see their jamming. We also jammed their bomb laying
radar to see how well they handled that. There were a lot of sites
around the country and even one on a train that moved around the
country. Very interesting work. I hope our training helped save some
of their lives. I wonder if that site is still there?
