[Milsurplus] Australian Members: Aircraft Color?

I build my sets to be portable / moveable / displayable.
When I complete a set, I build it onto a "display board"
or stand. That board or stand is usually painted a color
associated with the service branch most likely
to have deployed the set.

Early WWII U.S. aircraft had a color commonly
associated with them. There were, of course, many colors
in an aircraft's color scheme, but there was one that predominated.
Early Army Air Corps aircraft were usually some shade of
Olive Drab, so the display mounts are painted a somewhat
brighter shade of Olive. U.S. Navy aircraft were usually
a dark or "Navy" blue, but that makes for a "too dark"
display so the stands are painted "battleship grey."
If I have it correctly, my RAF TR-9 set should use
a mid-brown mounting.

I'm working to re-commission a very cool AR8 / AT5 set
and expect to check into the AM nets this weekend with it.
Was there a color most associated with RAAF aircraft
of the early WWII period, which I could use for the display
of this set?
