Ken & Dennis,

VB-12-A, VB-13-A and VB-11-A ((6, 12, 24 volts respectively) are the only
vibrators that the Signal Corps used that I know of that will fit an octal
socket. However, the jumpering was done by another plug in a socket mounted
in the supply. The common for the vibrator contacts are all on pin 8 and
the coil in all of the Series ones are on pin 4 but the fixed contacts are on
1 and 7, 2 and 6, and 3 and 5 respectively, I hadn't paid any attention
before to how the vibrators and circuits in the AVA-126A were wired. But I
now know that I have never seen one of the vibrators.

However, if one were willing to put the necessary jumpers on the vibrator
socket, I would guess you could use any one of the six (three each Series and
3 each Shunt) Signal Corps ones. But changing primary voltage would
require changing the jumpers. Or you might hide a socket somewhere and make three
jumper plugs.
