And now the Chinese copy our stuff with impunity.
Regarding paint, I've painted polished nickel 200 alloy flat black so its
temperature could be measured with a thermal camera. It is virtually impossible
to measure a reflective item with an emissivity of 0.05. I didn't really care
about radiation for this measurement, although obviously the black item was
radiating much more then the polished base item in terms of the thermal measurement.
