Reciever versus receiver: I have a couple BC-312's rebuilt by SFR, France, 
and a
right hand knob on both is labeled:  DIAL LINGHT. Quality control, I call 
it.
That wouldn't happen in Germany, that's certain. Or in the old USSR: the
plant manager would be very afraid.

GRC-109A: in 1969, WHY didn't they use a solid state receiver???? Would
not have been that difficult to reengineer, and receiver could have been
left on for monitoring much longer.
