You are right that typically media mail does not allow advertising, but,
they do allow educational material. In this case, that advertising is so
old, it can be considered as educational as you can no longer order any of
it. 73 - Mike

I have some really neat magazines for sale here. Radio News, one from June
43 and the other Feb 44. Both are in excellent condition.

February of 44 main theme is US ARmy Signal Corps with lots of attention to
the SCR-299/SCR-399. Nothing intimate it's just the focus of this issue.
Magazine is almost 1 inch thick. There is also a 6 page section of German
radios with pictures and a section on Japanese radioo with pictures. a
section of pictues for the "Signal Corps Portfolio". Lots of pictures about
the peope wo worked for the Signal Corps and civilian jobs as well, what a
lot of women did in the wartime process. A lot of the pictures are
color, how they mad the color shots in the studio for instance. Excellent
magazine. $30

June of 1943 issue focus's on US Aviation Communications. Pictures of
training schools and how the AAF people were trained with some good shots of
the training aids. A few pictures with Navy personnel in their strange
habitat!.. Lots of color pictures and descriptions on how the radio
operator was trained. Gets into the CAA and how the airways were
established, the navigation system, how it was built and how it worked also.
Just a really good issue. $27

YANK Magazine. 27 Various issues between Feb 2 of 45 and Dec 21 of 45 which
includes the September 45 VJ Day special issue. All are in very good
condx. Some have some tearing on the spline. $55 for all 27 issues.

YANK Magazine from March 3 of 44 to Dec 15 of 44. Lots of good reading and
of course there are cartoons scattered throughout and on the back page.
These have been kept at the back of one of my file cabinet drawers to keep
the light off of them for preservation. Good for groups who do the ground
war scene. Some have Air Force, some Navy scenarios. I bought these from an
alod place in Kingman, AZ. back in the 80's when i was hunting for WWII
artifacts. Knowing Kingman had been a airborne gunnery training site. Funy
thing is that these issues were sent to an address in Pennsylvania. Most do
not have an addressee. One is going to a Sgt at HQ 52 AACS Group RAAF,
Reading, PA. Two of the issues are from March 3rd, 1944 but are not the
same. One is: YANK Army Weekly and the other is YANK down under of which
the front cover is of a pair of LST Gunners. $20 for all issues in this date
range. And don't forget the SADSACK Cartoons that were in these issues.
Bet those will
bring back memories just like Bill Mauldins drawings.

ARMY Air FORCES Radio Facility Chart, 15 Dec, 1945. Excellent conditon for
$12

Flight Manual for the B-24D. Hardcover issue. This is one of a set that
came along with every so many B-24 aircraft from Consolidated Aircraft, Has
some water stains around the edges but it doesn't appear to have any pages
that are stuck together. Looks like about 20 or so pages on the Radio gear.
$20

Postage is extra. Radio news cannot go by media mail because they have
advertising in them. Everything else can.
