by thefollowing:"A resurrected original flight crew and maintenance 
crew coming on board therestored aircraft should see no significant 
configuration differences from whatthey experienced during wartime 
service (outside the obviously required simulationof the weapons load, 
plus whatever is needed to meet FAA requirements)."If the aircraft 
won't be flying, of course the FAA part doesn't exist

Great but.................. across the pond......

Big local aircraft museum here. Main man asked by ex volunteer if a 
coming visitor from Oz, also museum manager down under, could look 
inside one of the a/c as he was building replica.

Told by main man that 'no', we could not, they didn't want the foot 
fall, or wear and tear of visitors inside the a/c, as they were

'preserving the a/c for posterity and future generations'. !

Not sure how these future generations are ever going to see the inside 
of the a/c though as they don't let people inside.  Still, nice to know 
how our donation money is being spent.
