The sad part is,  if they had said something like:
"Thanks for your desire to help.  Our funds and time
are limited right now, and so is our storage space.  
We're concentrating on other areas.  
Perhaps in the future we'll be able to work on 
the period electronics."
I'd have been A-OK with that.  Totally understand.
I'd have been willing to wait years and come running 
when they asked.   
But no; they cop a sunglasses-glemming-teeth-
ain't-I-hot-stuff-and-you're-a-wannabe" atttitude.
What do they expect our community would think of them?
