Have to agree with you on this, to save five pounds of weight they gut what are getting almost imposable radios to find in unmodified condition. These people are morons. I did a R-1155 about five years ago but it was striped and hacked before I got it. But something like this should be criminal, furthermore any list members who pay the $200 or whatever it cost to go on the flight around the flagpole at some air show with these clowns should be thrown off the list.

I thought these clowns had learned their lessons about stripping-
out the WWII gear to "save weight" (in an aircraft meant to haul
thousands!)  a couple of decades ago when the event 
judges stopped awarding "make believe" restorations like this.
Makes me sick.
