[Milsurplus] BC-314-D 1st IF Can

     I was working on this set today and found two Micramolds (0.1/400V) inside C-293, the 1st IF transformer. This surprised me because nothing in the articles I had read or videos I had viewed on this series of receivers had mentioned caps inside an IF can. (I had heard about the one hidden in the RF Oscillator compartment and the one hidden in front of the 6F6).  I had seen caps inside IF cans in the BC-779/SP-200 receivers but was not aware it had also been done in the BC-342 series, too. I figured I would share this with the group.
 
     By the way, when I got to these caps, they were in exactly the condition you would expect 70-year-old Micramolds to be in! 'Nuff said.
