Looks like interesting info on the complete multi-van system in FM 11-95
http://www.survivalebooks.com/free%20manuals/1960%20US%20Army%20Vietnam%20War%20Arm%20Signal%20Battalion%2075p.pdf

Equipment specs are in FM 24-24 Radio & Radar Reference Data ( 20 May 1977);
I don't have one (no Army gear here!), just found the reference at
http://www.nj7p.org/cgi-bin/millist2?mode=normal&name=AN/MRT-9

FWIW, the 1994 version of FM 24-24 can be downloaded here

cheers,
Nick

Thought the MRR stuff had at least three transmitters in one shelter and a receiver shelter with a flock of R-390 stuffed in it. But from what I recall all the transmitter shelter only had one R-390 and no TU or TTY equipment? Perhaps the thing on EBay is a construct that someone built? When was the last GRC-26 systems fielded by the Army? I saw them in use in the seventies in National Guard units but would assume most were replaced by GRC-122 units being they were smaller, carried sideband and modern security eq

Looks like 10 K may be a bit much for that shelter; two or three years ago can see that happening but not today. I am not to far away over in Md, but would only go 5 or 6 myself that is if I wanted to run mutable rat circuits. Maybe he can get more just selling the transmitters separately?
