OK.  Now it all makes sense.  I had forgotten about the C/S thingy.  I 
don't have any info on the Russian tube but if looking for a substitute (and if 
the 6S4S is a triode), the later RCA handbooks say only that a 6B4G is 
essentially a 6-volt octal based 2A3.  So specs will be found under 2A3 except 
for heater and basing.
