[Milsurplus] SCR-RC-183 In Action

Well you get to see my messy work bench....
I've got the SCR-RC-183 external BFO/Freq Meter,
which was installed when the SCR-183 receiver was used
as a Liaison set, deployed for testing.
Had to find a good type 36 oscillator tube as 
the original had gone low emission.

About 7 megs for you dial-up guys, so beware.

Note the "wobble-ation" from gentle tapping.
The tube damping braket is missing in this set.
Also note the very fast tuning (this is 40 meters).
Still- for 1935, probably worked OK.

Aside:  The audio you hear is stock (except for 
bypassed low pass audio filter) to a properly-
matched comm-grade speaker.  Anyone who says
these old warriors don't have enough audio 
ain't doing it right ;-).
