Used the holidays for finally finishing one of the low priority projects, installing a transistor inverter power supply in an ARR-41 receiver. Being that many of the AN/ARR-41 receivers that are out there have been converted by Hams for 120 volt AC operation thought people may be interested in seeing a way to convert the set back for 28 volt DC operation. I know that a couple in the group will say that only installing a Dynamotor will do but good luck finding a Eureka Williams 231-0103-000 250 volt 100 Ma unit or a stock 541-4458-005 Power Supply assembly. I have the stock dynamotor deck but decided that I do not like the noise or the vibration that it produces and always wanted to do a solid state replacement. This is why I was looking for a DC to DC inverter assembly from an ARC-51, or ARC-73 being that they both produce similar voltages and the like. If I ever want to have the added experience of the dynamotor deck again I can always take a 3/8 Black & Decker drill, tape the trigger all the way down and put that on top the radio although I did keep the original power supply assembly so that can always be returned to the radio. You can see the AN/ARR-41 stuff at:

Or from my homepage at:

Also thanks to the group members who provided the idea, source for the Ham modified power supply and the connection for ARC-51 parts.
