[Milsurplus] Connector History

Hi all,

Looking at the patents for Howard B Jones the "Jones" plug as we know 
it was not filed
until May 1940. A cruder version Dec 1939. So it appears they were in 
production well
before the patents. Also searching Google Patents shows his early 
connector using
a split pin that he made and sold to Zenith.

A search of patents for the other types of connectors may yeild more info.

But I have to go and meet a fellow military radio collector about a 
connector. :-)
