Absolutely a hamification.
The switch is mounted at an angle, the wire dress is sloppy
and the mounting washers cover some of a control label.
There is no possible way an outfit like Collins would tolerate
such shoddy work in a unit they were trying to market.
It would be like adding fog lights to a new-model car
by fixing them to the hood with duct tape.
