[Milsurplus] TCS and the 18M

All,

Interesting questions being raised here by Ray and others concerning  
TCS evolution and history.  Raised a question in my mind as to if/ 
where the MAK and MO-1 radios might fit into the story.  Would seem to  
have had a similar mission, i.e., small, mobile HF two-way radios of  
about the same power level.  Four channel xtal control only in the  
case of the MAK/MO-1 which capability was included in the TCS sets as  
well.  Also note that the remote control box used with the MAK/MO-1 is  
identical circuitwise to the TCS box except that is didn't include a  
speaker.  MAK/MO-1 not Collins, though.

Anyone know more?
