[Milsurplus] Hammarlund dial 'flattening' advice needed

I acquired recently a nice HQ-120 , brother to the RBG, that had its plastic dials warp and in some spots delaminate. Has anyone faced similar problems with this on the BC 779 and 1004 receivers and was able to flatten out the dials and restore them.

 Any and all help is welcomed.
