I bought a RT-294B/ARC-44 from Fair Radio in 1975...and in the
interim I have acquired most of the other associated items, including
the related AN/ARC-45 UHF-AM set. The DY-107/AR and the two mounting
racks are not too common. The DY generates a small mount of 400 Hz
power. The SB-327/AR is the control box, and the SB-329/AR is the audio
panel that contains several sub-miniature tubes inside. The SB units
and the manuals are not too hard to find on ebay.

It's a neat little set that appeared in the mid-1950s and was common
on early models of the Army's UH-1. It uses the 5763 in several places.
It is quite advanced for a 55-year-old all-vacuum-tube set.

Some pictures and overview are at:

I'd say go ahead and get one, even if you don't do anything with it
for 36 years like I have. It's very interesting to study.
