I don't know whether the pulse-rated version is any different with respect
to seals -
but many of the 4-65A's that I have tried over the past few years have been
a little soft.
After lots of hours with filament only, followed by cycling the HV in a
power oscillator,
some of them have come more or less back to life. This is the only tube
type that
I've seen this problem with on a regular basis.
