[Milsurplus] Tube Nomenclature Questions

Don't know if any of it is rational. The S actually stands for
single-ended as opposed to grid cap, and yes some clever internal
shielding was need to do this. The orignal octals were metal tubes such
as 6K7, 6J7, 6R7, etc. The the single-ended equivalents were 6SK7, 6SJ7,
6SR7, etc. That's not at all consistent. A 6SL7 is not a single-ended 6L7.
